Delta Announces New Service to Northern California Coast; Service Begins June 5 to Arcata-Eureka Airport

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 6, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) customers looking to take in some world-class fishing or reach Redwood National Park to see some of the tallest and largest trees on Earth will find it more convenient starting June 5 when Delta introduces its first-ever nonstop flights between Salt Lake City and the Arcata-Eureka Airport, located in the heart of beautiful Northern California.

Delta Connection(r) carrier SkyWest will operate the new flights using a 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft. Customers may purchase tickets for the flights beginning today as follows:

Customers flying to or from Arcata-Eureka will enjoy service via Delta's Salt Lake City hub where it offers 336 peak-day departures to 106 destinations in North America. And beginning in June 2008, in cooperation with SkyTeam partner Air France, Delta will launch the first-ever nonstop trans-Atlantic flight offered by any airline from Salt Lake City with daily nonstop service to Paris-Charles DeGaulle Airport.
