Atomic Fuel for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Plant in Lusby

Areva, a French, state-controlled nuclear power operator, said it secured a commercial nuclear fuel contract with Baltimore-based Constellation Energy Group Inc. Constellation ordered 10 reload batches of fuel for its Calvert Cliffs nuclear plant in Lusby, according to a news release. Areva won fuel contracts with three other American utility companies, including Tennessee Valley Authority, PPL Corp. and AmerGen Energy Co.
