ATP Oil & Gas has won the offshore leases at De Soto Canyon Block 355 and Viosca Knoll Block 863 from Minerals Management Service.
ATP submitted bids for those properties at the Central Gulf of Mexico Offshore Lease Sale 205 in New Orleans, US, in October 2007.
De Soto Canyon Block 355 is an exploration opportunity in close proximity to the ATP-operated Canyon Express Pipeline System and previous exploration drilling at Viosca Knoll Block 863 determined logged hydrocarbons in two wells.
ATP acquired a 100% working interest in each of the two blocks for a total cost of $525,960 and will serve as operator of both the blocks.
