Vietnam spots handgun in air passenger’s luggage
HANOI, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) — Vietnamese customs officers have found a handgun and 15 bullets in the luggage of a 20-year-old local man flying from the Czech Republic to Hanoi, local newspaperYoung People reported Tuesday.
The officers found the Czech handgun in a liquor box in the luggage of Phan Van Cong from northern Hai Duong after he disembarked from a flight of a foreign airline on Feb. 10.
Cong said he arrived home to visit relatives and did not know anything about the gun because his mother had arranged the luggage.
Local police are probing into the case, said the report.
