Aeroflot, India’s Kingfisher Airlines to Sign Code-Sharing Deal
MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax) – Aeroflot (RTS: AFLT) – Russian Airlines and India’s Kingfisher Airlines S. Ramachandran signed a memorandum of intent in Deli on Tuesday to broaden cooperation, the Russian carrier said in a press release.
The parties earlier signed an inter-line agreement and also plan to sign a code-sharing deal. “As a result, Russian passengers will gain expanded access into the domestic network of Kingfisher, while Indian passengers will have broader opportunities to use Aeroflot’s transit capabilities to travel to Canada, the United States and Europe,” the press release says.
Kingfisher, which is part of India’s major UB Group, flies 30 destinations in India.
