E-One Moli Energy Corp Will Increase Lithium-Ion Battery Production

E-One Moli Energy Corp., will increase production of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries in 2008. It plans to raise its lithium-ion battery output up to 30 percent to meet the demand.
E-One Moli (Molicel®) will increase the monthly production at plants in Tainan, Taiwan, and Vancouver, Canada to raise production capacity of lithium-ion cells to 30 percent. The expansion plan is divided into two phases. The first phase is planning to be completed at the existing site in the end of March 2008; the second phase will introduce after it.
E-One Moli (Molicel®) plans to increase its share of the lithium-ion battery market in the next two to three years. Taking cyclical risk into account, E-One Moli (Molicel®) will expand at a steady pace to avoid falling into full-scale competition and at the same time focus on the enormous market potent of laptop-computer, cordless power tool, and electric or hybrid-electric vehicles markets.
