Benefits Partners Pay Off
February 13, 2008
MILLIONS of pounds in extra benefits have been awarded to pensioners and other vulnerable people across North Yorkshire as a result of two organisations working more closely together.
North Yorkshire County Council and the Pension Service have reaffirmed a joint working partnership so neither duplicates the other’s work.
Similar agreements are in place with the seven district councils for housing benefit and Council Tax benefit claims so people can see their claims processed quicker without having to provide any more information or evidence. For advice on entitlement to benefits call the Local Pension Service on 01904 682328.
