Price of Crude About $93 a Barrel
Crude oil prices, at a near-peak for the year, remained high Wednesday morning on the New York Mercantile Exchange, as investors considered long-range supply.
Prices for crude climbed 17 cents in early morning trading to $92.95 per barrel. The price topped $93 on the exchange late last week.
Heating oil prices also climbed 1.37 cents to $2.6408 per gallon on the exchange.
The price of reformulated gasoline blendstock fell 0.08 cents to $2.3672 per gallon.
Natural gas prices also declined, down 8.3 cents to $8.353 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the United States jumped to $2.972 per gallon Wednesday, up from $2.961 Tuesday the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report said.
