Virgin America 'Showing the Love' to San Francisco on Valentine's Day

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- To mark the one year anniversary of its "Let VA Fly" campaign, hundreds of Virgin America's teammates are taking to the streets to show their hometown the love this Valentine's Day. Virgin America teammate "street teams" will be handing out special Valentine's presents to San Franciscans at 14 different locations around the City.

One year ago today on Valentine's Day, the airline's teammates took to the San Francisco streets to build support for a new airline that had set its sights on reinventing air travel. The Let VA Fly Web Site attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors and started a public movement. With the support of San Franciscans who wanted to bring some California-style innovation to air travel, Mayor Gavin Newsom and other public officials -- a different kind of airline finally got its wings.
