Air China’s January 2008 Passenger Load Up 13%

Air China has carried 2.74 million passengers in January 2008, which reflects a 13% increase as compared to the figures in January 2007, reported China Aviation, citing a report published by XFN Asia.
The Chinese carrier also reported a 9.3% increase in its cargo business to 79,464.5 tons in January 2008 as against the cargo carried during the same period in 2007.
Around 472,900 passengers were carried by the airline on its international flights in January 2008, which is a 20.1% increase from the corresponding period in 2007. Passengers on the domestic routes reportedly rose to 2.18 million, up 11.1%.
The combined passenger load factor in January 2008 was 76.8%, which is 6.9% more than that recorded in January 2007.
