Netherlands to Donate 676,000 Dollars in Aid to Tajikistan

Dushanbe, 21 February: The Netherlands intends to provide aid worth 676,000 dollars to Tajikistan, the press release circulated by the Dutch embassy in Astana [capital of Kazakhstan] has said.

The funds allocated by the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands will be channelled to Tajikistan via UNICEF (The United Nations Children’s Fund).

The funds will be used to support the activities of the UNICEF that is providing humanitarian aid to people of Tajikistan, the press release says.

These funds will be used to provide over a million Tajik people, suffering from the energy crisis, with drinking water, as well as with public health and hygiene goods.
