MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) – The Russian Emergencies Ministry sent on Thursday a second airplane with humanitarian aid for Tajikistan, which is suffering from the unusually cold weather.

“The Il-76 airplane took off from the Ramenskoye air field near Moscow for Dushanbe at 09:45 a.m. Moscow time on Thursday,” spokesman for the Emergencies Ministry Viktor Beltsov told Interfax.

The Emergencies Ministry’s plane will deliver to Tajikistan 84 stoves and four diesel power stations, he said.

“The first Russian Emergencies Ministry’s airplane was sent to Tajikistan on February 19. It delivered 12 diesel power stations,” Beltsov said.

“All in all, the Russian humanitarian aid provided to Tajikistan by two airplanes is worth 22.8 million rubles,” Beltsov said.
