BA Pilots Vote to Walk Out
February 22, 2008
BRITISH Airways pilots voted to strike yesterday in a row over the airline’s new subsidiary Open-Skies.
If the walk-outs go ahead, Easter holiday flights could be hit.
But within hours of the ballot, BA and union leaders agreed to go to conciliation in a bid to end the dispute.
Unions support the OpenSkies service but claim BA intend to hire lower-paid pilots. BA denied the claim.
