Northwest Airlines Announces New Seasonal Service Between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Lexington, Kentucky

Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) announced today it will offer seasonal daily nonstop service from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Lexington, Ky. from June 5, 2008 to August, 18, 2008.
Northwest flight 5639 will depart Minneapolis/St. Paul at 1:10 p.m. and will arrive in Lexington at 4:07 p.m.
Northwest flight 5638 will depart Lexington at 5:00 p.m. and will arrive in Minneapolis/St. Paul at 5:58 p.m.
The new Minneapolis/St. Paul service will be operated by Northwest Airlink partner Pinnacle Airlines using 50-seat CRJ-200 aircraft.

"Northwest Airlines is excited to give our customers in Lexington the opportunity to choose from all Northwest hubs, adding Minneapolis/St. Paul to our Memphis and Detroit service," said Dennis Newman, vice president of network planning and scheduling. "This new route allows us to offer our Lexington customers convenient access to all destinations that Northwest flies, just in time for the summer vacation season."
