Sustainable Energy Boom in Europe

MUNICH, Germany and BRUSSELS, February 26 /PRNewswire/ — In Europe, the market for sustainable energies is boiling. Yet not all new energy companies win a place in the media spotlight. PR plays a major role in penetrating the green energy market, a new study says.

Skyrocketing oil prices, unreliant gas providers and climate concerns have paved the way: alternative energies are booming in Europe. As a consequence, media coverage of energy businesses has risen dramatically. Yet it is often not the companies with the largest advertising budgets who attract the most coverage. As a media response analysis by Landau Media shows, PR is often the main driver of media success in the energy business. A targeted PR campaign may require just a fraction of a company’s advertising budget yet create much stronger resonance with the media and customers, the analysis concludes.

GlobalCom PR-Network’s communication experts possess broad background knowledge and in-depth experience in communicating complex topics such as energy solutions and technologies. Through careful market education and positioning, the GCPR team helps energy companies develop and execute the PR strategies that get their brand firmly established in local markets. One example is California-based biofuel expert Primafuel, for whom GCPR managed the attendance of the United Nations Climate Change Conference and the World Economic Forum.
