Vietnamese Firm to Build 2,400MW Thermo-Electric Plant

Quang Binh (VNA) -The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) Corporation and the Ha Thanh Securities Company will join hand in building a 2,400MW thermo-electric plant in central Quang Binh province.

The plant will be constructed at a cost of 2.4 billion USD in Quang Trach district’s Hon La area to boost the local economic development and attract investment.

The two companies also plan to build in the area a coal port to feed the plant, a 300sq.m golf course in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and a five-star hotel complex in Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city.
