Most of the studies are looking at ways to lower costs and improve emissions standards. The primary way to reduce emissions and operating costs is with the use of renewable energy resources, and to that end, developers are looking at more than 3,100 MW of the targeted energy to come from tidal, hydroelectric, wind and geothermal sources.
