Menzies Wins Cargo Handling Contracts at New International Airport in India
Menzies Aviation, a provider of cargo handling services, has announced that it has won further contracts at the new Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Hyderabad, India, which officially opens in March 2008.
Menzies Bobba Ground Handling Services, a joint venture between Menzies Aviation and Bobba Group, will be handling Oman Air and Saudi Arabia Airlines from the March 16, 2008, providing a full ground handling service to the airline including passenger, ramp and cabin cleaning. Oman Air will operate a daily flight using B737 aircraft and Saudi Arabia will operate B777 aircraft three times a week.
Menzies Bobba has also won the contract to provide full ground handling to Qatar Airways at Hyderabad, while Hyderabad Menzies Air Cargo, a joint venture between Menzies Aviation and GHIAL has been awarded Qatar Airways’s cargo and warehouse contract. The airline will operate a daily flight using A321 aircraft.
