Natural Gas Partners IX Energy Fund Draws Good Response

NGP Energy Capital Management operated private equity fund complex Natural Gas Partners has announced the final closing of the Natural Gas Partners IX fund with total commitments of $4 billion.

The Natural Gas Partners private equity fund complex has reportedly managed more than $7 billion of cumulative capital and made investments in over 130 companies in the oil and gas production, oilfield service, mid-stream and related energy sectors.

According to a fund partner, Natural Gas Partners (NGP) IX will do the same size and type deals that its track record has been built upon. The fund has reportedly made 10 investments to date, many of which are managed by management teams from prior NGP portfolio companies.
