American Airlines February Load Factor Up

American Airlines has reported February 2008 load factor of 76.9%, an improvement of 0.3 points compared to 76.5% reported for the same period in 2007.
American Airlines' traffic increased 2.5% year over year as capacity increased 2% in February 2008. Domestic traffic decreased 0.5% year over year on 0.2% less capacity. International traffic increased by 8.4% relative to last year on a capacity increase of 6%. American Airlines has boarded 7.1 million passengers in February 2008.
American Eagle, an airline partner of American Airlines, has reported a February load factor of 69%, down 0.4 points compared to 69.4% for the same period in 2007. Traffic decreased 2.4% year over year as capacity decreased 1.9%. American Eagle boarded 1.5 million passengers in February.
