SHOPPERS face hefty hikes in the cost of cheese, eggs, milk and butter.
The warning came as the latest price survey showed the UK’s most popular dairy products have risen to their highest level for three years.
The study for trade magazine The Grocer found a shopping basket of milk, butter, cheese and eggs is 18.7 per cent more expensive than at this time last year.
