Croatian President Starts His First Official Visit to Vietnam

HANOI, March 9 (Hina) – Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Sunday [9 March] began his official visit to Vietnam with touring Ha Long Bay, one of the most famous Vietnamese tourist destinations, some 300 kilometres away from the capital of Hanoi.

On Monday, President Mesic will hold talks with his host, President Nguyen Minh Triet, in Hanoi.

A Croatian delegation accompanying the head of state on his visits to Japan and Vietnam will take part in an economic forum on the bilateral cooperation with Vietnamese business people.

Mesic will visit the national parliament and the main offices of the ruling Communist Party in that southeastern Asian country.
