Tokyo, March 10 (Jiji Press)–Major Japanese auto parts maker Calsonic Kansei Corp. said Monday it has dissolve ties with Delphi Corp. of the United States on the production of compressors for car air conditioners.

Calsonic Kansei bought out its joint venture with Delphi, Calsonic Harrison Co., by acquiring the U.S. partner’s 49 pct stake.

Meanwhile, the Japanese company sold Delphi its 10 pct stake in another joint firm of the two companies, in Hungary.

Calsonic Kansei said it will continue supply pistons for compressors to Delphi through Calsonic Harrison Co., while Delphi will supply variable-displacement compressors to Calsonic Kansei through the Hungarian firm.

By making Calsonic Harrison a fully owned subsidiary, Calsonic Kansei aims to boost its compressor business, the company said.END
