L&M Petroleum says that it has temporarily suspended drilling at its Westland Basin Fireball Creek-1 well because of safety concerns with some equipment. The repairs and upgrades to the equipment at the West Coast onshore site was to be completed early next week, L&M said yesterday. The well is being drilled to test a geological structure that blew out in the nearby SFL- 1 well drilled by Superior Oil in 1942. –BusinessDay
