Singapore Airlines has announced that it has launched new service to London, using an A380 flight, which claims to be the first commercial A380 flight to Europe.
The company claims that it is the only airline to operate the A380. Since the launch of A380 operations to Sydney in October 2007, Singapore Airlines has seen a very high level of interest and demand from customers.
Huang Cheng Eng, executive vice president of marketing and the regions at Singapore Airlines, said: "Seats on both legs of the inaugural flight to London were snapped up soon after flight details were announced in late January 2008, and forward bookings for A380 scheduled services there are strong."
