Piedmont Natural Gas Repeats As Region's Highest Ranked Gas Utility in J.D. Power and Associates Study of Business Customers

Piedmont Natural Gas (NYSE: PNY) has been ranked by its own business customers as the highest ranked gas utility in the South for the second consecutive year, according to a study released today by J.D. Power and Associates.
The results of the 2008 Gas Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study were determined after surveying over 5,800 business customers of the nation's 41 largest gas utilities. Those business customers surveyed range from relatively small commercial customers up to large industrial type customers who typically use much larger quantities of natural gas on an annual basis.
The study ranks gas utilities on six performance factors: billing and payment, communications, company image, customer service, field service and price.
