CapRock Communications, a leading provider of global satellite communication solutions, today announced it has appointed Keith Johnson as VP of corporate development. In this role, Johnson will oversee the company's expansion into new geographic regions and markets as it further strengthens its global services and capabilities. Johnson, a telecommunications industry veteran, moves into this role from his former position as the company's interim managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa operations.
"Keith's extensive understanding of our business and his strategic sales and planning experience make him a natural fit for this role," said CapRock's President of Global Energy Markets Doug Tutt. "He possesses not only the drive and global perspective necessary to keep CapRock poised for growth, but he also has the strategic insight as how best to do so."
Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, which includes serving as the founder and president of Transworld Telecom Systems, a systems integration company focused on the energy, telecommunications and government markets that was later acquired by CapRock. Prior to founding Transworld Telecom, Johnson held a series of progressive managerial and executive roles within CapRock, formerly IWL Communications, which included the position of executive vice president and inclusion on the board of directors.
"Having Keith as a member of our leadership team further strengthens the company's strategic direction and is testament to our dedication to continuous global expansion," continued Tutt. "We're confident his contributions will add significant value to our capabilities and are honored he is assuming this role."
Johnson holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Business Management from Houston Baptist University.
