FPL FiberNet Deploys Alcatel's Solution for Ethernet and IP Services

Alcatel-Lucent has announced that FPL FiberNet, a subsidiary of FPL Group, has selected and deployed its IP/MPLS solution as its packet-based network to deliver ethernet and IP services.
According to Alcatel-Lucent its solution will enable FPL FiberNet to offer a broad suite of high quality, reliable and flexible IP-based services, as well as help FPL FiberNet meet anticipated future growth requirements.
Carmen Perez, president of FPL FiberNet, said: "By enabling high-performance, multi-service switching throughout our network, Alcatel-Lucent's solution - coupled with its experience in IP network transformation - gives us a significant advantage as we move to the next phase of the evolution of our network."
