Delta Air Lines Launches New Nonstop Flight Between Atlanta and Shanghai

Delta Air Lines has launched its first nonstop flight between Atlanta and Shanghai, China.
This new nonstop service between Atlanta and Shanghai will be operated using the airline's flagship Boeing 777 aircraft.
In addition to the service to China, Delta plans to add other new international destinations from Atlanta in 2008, including new nonstop service to London-Heathrow; Stockholm, Sweden (effective June 3, 2008); Santiago, Dominican Republic (effective December 20, 2008), and a second daily flight to Sao Paulo, Brazil (effective June 15, 2008).
Lee Macenczak, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Delta, said: "This flight will establish Atlanta as a powerful new Chinese gateway by providing new connectivity and convenience for passengers from across the US, as well as central and South America and the Caribbean."
