High Energy-Brand Sweatshirts Recalled
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of High Energy-brand boys’ hooded sweatshirts because of a safety hazard.
The CPSC said approximately 5,000 of the imported sweatshirts — distributed by Kidz World Inc., doing business as High Energy USA of New York — have a drawstring that poses a strangulation hazard to children.
The recalled boys’ sweatshirts are hooded and have a zipper up the front. They were sold in boys’ sizes small and medium. The style number and High Energy or Energy Clothing Company are printed on the sewn-in neck tag. The recall involves styles T78311, S78511, S78514, S78515, S78516, S72509 and S74509.
The sweatshirts, manufactured in Pakistan, Egypt and South Korea, were sold at A.J. Wright, Bealls Outlet, A&E Stores and Happy Days Stores nationwide from October 2007 through November 2007 for about $15.
