United Fuel & Energy Notifies SEC of Delay in Filing Its 2007 Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results

MIDLAND, Texas, March 31, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Fuel & Energy Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: UFEN) , a leading distributor of gasoline, diesel, propane and lubricant products to customers in the southwestern and south central U.S. today announced that it has filed a Form 12b-25 to notify the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it could not file its Annual Report on Form 10-K within the prescribed time period. The Company stated its intention to file its Annual Report on Form 10-K on or before April 15. The Company also plans to hold a conference call to discuss the financial results shortly after the results are reported.
