Raytheon Company Honored With 2008 EPA ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award

WALTHAM, Mass., April 1, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company has been awarded a 2008 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the company's continued leadership in protecting the environment through energy efficiency. Raytheon will receive the award at a ceremony held on April 1, 2008, in Washington, D.C.

Raytheon was selected from more than 9,000 ENERGY STAR program participants for the Sustained Excellence Award - the highest honor given to partners. This is the fourth time in eight years that the company has received ENERGY STAR recognition. Raytheon has saved an estimated $10 million in 2007 and has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 28 percent per dollar revenue by reducing energy usage and tapping renewable energy sources.
