Power Plant Will Help Ecology

CEZ Obnovitelne zdroje (Czech Republic), electricity from renewable sources producer, plans to start to build a small hydroelectric power plant in Melnik in 2H 2008. The building is to be finished by the end of 2009 or at the beginning of 2010. The power plant will have an installed power of about 500 kW and it will produce about 3.5 mil kWh/y of electricity. It will be built next to an existing coal power plant and it will use water flow from this coal power plant. The company CEZ Obnovitelne zdroje is a part of the power group CEZ (Czech Republic).
