Prishtina [Pristina], 2 April: The Kosova [Kosovo] Energy Corporation (KEK) announced today that, as a result of damage to the Unit B2 of the Kosova B Power Plant, power cuts will increase during the day.

The spokesperson for the KEK, Nezir Sinani, told KosovaLive that currently Kosova is producing only 387 megawatt hours, whereas, according to him, they have made an agreement with Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) to import 100 megawatt hours.

“Unit B2 of the Kosova B Power Plant has stopped production at 0442 [0242 gmt] as a result of damage. We are working to fix the problem in this unit, and we are expecting for it to begin production in the evening hours,” Sinani said.
