Iraq to Induct 40 Boeing Aircraft By 2019

The Iraqi government has announced that it plans to purchase 30 737s and 10 787s from Boeing, in a deal which is being valued at $5.5 billion, reported MarketWatch.
The delivery of the aircraft will be completed in 2019. However, Boeing has not disclosed any more details regarding the contract.
Iraq reportedly bought 10 new aircraft from Bombardier, according to reports published by Agence France-Presse and Reuters. It is claimed that the country is planning to rebuild and reorganize its civil aviation sector.
Iraqi Airways is believed to have initiated a plan to modernize its fleet, most of which are grounded in Jordan, the airline said on its website.
