Posted on: Thursday, 3 April 2008, 09:00 CDT

Vreba-Hoff Dairy has announced that it is providing kosher milk for an international food distribution company headquartered in Israel.

According to the dairy company, this food distributor has ordered 500 metric tons of kosher whole milk powder from Vreba-Hoff. Under the contract, the dairy firm will ship 9.5 million pounds of whole milk to a kosher processing facility in Kentucky, which will convert the milk into powder and then ship to Israel.

Peter van der Vegt, a business development advisor to Vreba-Hoff, said: "This is such a great opportunity for us and a dynamic new direction for our products. It is a great honor to do business with such an outstanding international distributor."

How is it possible that "kosher" milk can be had from cows standing on cold cement, in their own crap their entire lives until they are unable to stand anymore? Vreba Hoff is disgusting. Not only is their operation inhumane, its destroyed the lives of many who live around their factory farm. The stench is powerful, the rivers are polluted, and liquid manure is sprayed on fields even in winter. They currently owe the state of Michigan over 200k in fines, but won't pay until they increase their herd. Kosher? Please.
