Afghan Police Seize Man With Five Remote-Controlled Mines in South

Kabul, 5 April: A person has been arrested with five remote- controlled mines [in southern Afghanistan].
A statement by the Interior Ministry press office says the police yesterday arrested a “terrorist” along with five mines on the Kandahar-Herat highway in the Greshk District of Helmand Province.
The statement says the arrested person had been carrying the mines in a corolla car when identified and arrested.
Greshk is one of the most restive districts of Helmand Province where explosions and clashes between the Taleban and the coalition forces mostly take place.
