Maqbool Receives Chinese Official

According to Oman News: Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry today received at his office Chairman of the China National Petroleum Corporation, who is currently visiting the Sultanate. The Minister of Commerce and Industry said that the meeting discussed boosting bilateral economic and investment relations through partnerships and ventures with Oman Oil Company either in countries of the region or China or other countries. The meeting also covered the cooperation in the field of oil and gas especially China National Petroleum Corporation has oil and gas concession agreement in the Sultanate, Maqbool added in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA). ‘Oman Oil Company has $100 million worth investments in China. The Sultanate in general and the company in particular welcome China National Petroleum Corporation’s investments in the Sultanate especially the company is one of the major oil and gas companies in China and has investments all over the world.
