Coeur D'Alene's Silver Mine in Bolivia Nears Commissioning, an Industrial Info News Alert

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (NYSE:CDE) has announced that its new San Bartolome silver mine is near commissioning. The mine will process ore shortly and create dore bars before month's end. The silver mine is being developed by Empresa Minera Manquiri S.A. (Potosi, Bolivia), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coeur d'Alene. Fluor Chile S.A. (Santiago, Chile), a subsidiary of Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) (Irving, Texas), is acting as the engineering, procurement and construction/management contractor. The capital cost to develop the project is estimated at $175 million, up from $135 million in 2005.
