Russia Sends Third Plane of Humanitarian Aid to Belgrade
MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) – The third aircraft of the Russian Emergencies’ Ministry carrying humanitarian aid for Kosovan Serbs has taken off toward Serbia on Tuesday morning.
“The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Il-76 plane took off from the Ramenskoye airfield near Moscow at 9 a.m. Moscow time,” a spokesperson for the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Interfax.
The third flight to Belgrade will deliver food products, including 40 tons of cereals, he said.
A total of around 160 tons of cargo are planned to be delivered, with the last flight due on April 10.
The first two planes of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered more than 80 tons of food to the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, including 15 tons of children’s food, 25 tons of tinned fish and 40 tons of tinned meat.
All in all, Russia will deliver 160 tons of humanitarian aid for Kosovo, worth 40 million rubles.
