Outotec, a provider of process solutions and services for the mining and metallurgical industries, has selected Verizon Business to consolidate its global communications infrastructure.

Verizon Business will supply Outotec with its Private IP, a managed communications network, which will provide high-speed connectivity for 30 of Outotec’s global locations spanning six continents. Some business-critical applications will be co-located at a Verizon Business hosting site in the US, complementing Outotec’s own data centers in Australia and Finland.

Petri Tanskanen, vice president of IT at Outotec, said: “As we reviewed our options after the tendering process, it became clear that Verizon Business was still the right choice for us, all over the world.”
