Vietnamese Party Chief Discusses Cooperation With French Communist Official

Hanoi (VNA) -The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and Vietnamese people are determined to strengthen the special friendship and solidarity with the French Communist Party (FCP) and French people. Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh made the statement while receiving a FCP delegation, led by National Secretary Marie George Buffet, in Hanoi on April 14. The Party leader thanked French communists and people for their support during Vietnam ‘s past struggles for national independence as well as its current national construction. He said he believed the FCP will overcome immediate difficulties to successfully implement its objectives and tasks in the current struggle for people’s welfare, democracy and social advancement in France . National Secretary Buffet praised Vietnam ‘s achievements during its 20 years of renovation, and said it provided valuable experience for the FCP and forces fighting for peace, democracy and socialism in the world. She confirmed the FCP admires the CPV and Vietnamese people and wishes to further develop traditional solidarity, friendship and cooperation.
