Gas Natural Secures Underground Storage Capacity in Spain

Spanish energy major Gas Natural has won a total of 1,209GWh of the natural gas underground storage capacity, scheduled for allocation in the first such auction in Spain.
With the allocated storage capacity, Gas Natural is reportedly in an optimal situation to meet increases in consumption and improve the security of supply to its customers.
Gas Natural has been awarded 80% of the underground storage capacity offered in the auction held by Operador del Mercado Iberico de EnergiaPolo Espanol on behalf of Enagas, as set out in regulations.
