Frontier Airlines has launched its first nonstop flight from Denver to Colorado Springs, US.
The company said that it will use 74-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft to operate this service. A fleet of 10 Q400 aircrafts are operated for Frontier by its subsidiary Lynx Aviation.
In addition to the new Colorado Springs service, Frontier will utilize its new fleet of Q400 aircraft to serve three more Colorado markets with nonstop, daily service from Denver.
Sean Menke, president and CEO of Frontier Airlines, said: "With its dynamic growth and diverse business and leisure interests, Colorado Springs has long been a destination that was at the top of our list for intra-Colorado expansion. However, prior to the growth of our new fleet of Q400 aircraft we didn't have the right aircraft to make Colorado Springs service a reality."
