Delta TechOps has entered into a five-year agreement for CFM56-3 engine repair and overhaul work with Asiana Airlines.
The new agreement with Asiana will complement Delta TechOps's growing list of engine capabilities which also include CFM56-7, PW2000, PW4000, DF6-80A/A2, CF6-80C2 and JT8D-219. This deal is expected to add $45 million in revenue to Delta TechOps's MRO business.
Tony Charaf, president of Delta TechOps, said: "Although this is a new contract with Asiana, our partnership has a history. We have been performing engine work for Asiana for several years and this latest contract is clearly a statement that they have been pleased with the quality and customer service they have received from Delta TechOps."
