Aeroports De Paris March Passenger Traffic Up
Aeroports de Paris, an airport group in France, has reported that its passenger traffic increased 2.2% to 7.2 million passengers in March 2008 compared to March 2007.
The Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport has reported traffic of five million passengers and Paris-Orly airport posted traffic of 2.2 million passengers. The traffic figures for March 2008 are marked by the increase on European and international routes.
The 7.3% decrease in domestic traffic impacts mainly Paris-Orly airport. European traffic grew by 5.7%. The 12 new European Union members recorded an increase of 6.7%. The British and Irish markets decreased slightly by 0.5%.
Traffic on the other international routes reached a 4.2% increase. The North and Latin American markets rose by 3.9%. The African market was up 4.4%. A 4.4% increase was also recorded on routes to and from Asia and the Middle East.
The number of aircraft movements decreased slightly by 0.7% in March 2008. The passenger load factor reached 74.37% in March 2008 compared with 74.47% in March 2007.
