KVH Appoints Peter Coffman to Lead Commercial Marine Sales Effort

KVH Industries, a provider of in-motion satellite TV and communication systems, has appointed Peter Coffman to the position of manager of commercial and industrial maritime markets.

Mr Coffman will focus on global commercial opportunities for the company’s new TracPhone V7 satellite communications system and mini-VSAT broadband service.

Mr Coffman comes to KVH with experience in field engineering, sales and marketing of offshore satellite communications technology. He worked for companies like Marlink, Nera SatCom, Schlumberger and IDB Communications.

Ian Palmer, executive vice president for satellite sales at KVH, said: “His extensive offshore industry expertise will help us to leverage our innovative satellite communications and television products in the commercial maritime communications industry, making our expansion into this broad and important market a success.”
