Hino Motors Launches Light-Duty Truck in Vietnam

Tokyo, April 21 (Jiji Press)–Hino Motors Ltd. said Monday it has launched its Hino 300 Series light-duty truck, known in Japan as Dutro, in Vietnam.
The company, which started selling heavy and medium-duty trucks and buses in Vietnam in 1996, controls 54.6 pct of the heavy and medium-duty truck market in the Southeast Asian country.
Hino hopes to boost its business by adding a light-duty model in Vietnam, where truck demand is increasing rapidly in line with the growing economy.
Hino aims to sell 3,000 vehicles in Vietnam in the year that started April 1, including 800 light-duty trucks.END
