OKLAHOMA CITY, April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Enogex LLC, a subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp. , is proposing new firm natural gas transportation capacity — to be known as the Heartland Crossing project — to meet growing regional gas supply and demand.

“Enogex believes that with the increased drilling of natural gas wells in and around Oklahoma, additional transportation capacity needs to be developed,” said Keith Mitchell, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Enogex. “We are prepared to continue to invest in our system and grow with our customers.”

The Heartland Crossing project would offer firm transportation capacity to transport natural gas received in Oklahoma from gathering systems, processing plant tailgates and pipeline interconnects to delivery points in Oklahoma.

“We are proposing to use existing pipeline infrastructure and, where necessary, to build new capacity to help our Oklahoma customers and those throughout the region move gas to attractive markets,” Mitchell said.

Enogex’s extensive pipeline system — with interconnects to gathering systems, processing plant tailgates and pipeline interconnects in Oklahoma — allows for the receipt and delivery of the increasing quantities of natural gas production now being brought on stream in Oklahoma and surrounding areas. The proposed Heartland Crossing project would take advantage of the Enogex system’s existing capabilities to move increasing production in the area to regional and national markets including the growing markets east of the Mississippi River.

Enogex is having an Open Season from April 24, 2008, through June 6, 2008, to solicit customer interest in the development of the Heartland Crossing project. With a potential design capacity of up to 1.0 billion cubic feet per day, the proposed Heartland Crossing project is expected to begin in the growing producing basins in western Oklahoma and connect to markets on the Enogex system including delivery to interconnects in Bennington, Okla. It could be in service by early 2010. The specifics of the proposed Heartland Crossing project, such as the actual capacity of the project, the scope of required construction, the types and timing of services to be provided and the estimated cost of this project will be determined based primarily on the input Enogex receives from its customers. The development of the proposed Heartland Crossing project is subject to numerous conditions, including receipt of sufficient customer commitment at terms that are acceptable to Enogex.

This Open Season to solicit shipper interest is open through June 6, 2008, at 5 p.m. Central Daylight Time. Additional information regarding this service can be obtained from Michael Walker at (405) 530-7429 or Christy Spraggs at (405) 557-5287. Interested parties may also access Open Season information by visiting the Enogex website at http://www.enogex.com/ under the “Notices” tab.

The Enogex intrastate transmission system spans approximately 2,318 miles, has an average throughput of 1.52 TBtu/d and interconnects with numerous intrastate and interstate natural gas pipelines. It serves a large end user market and has two natural gas storage facilities providing approximately 23 Bcf of working capacity.

Enogex LLC, previously known as Enogex Inc., owns an integrated midstream natural gas system engaged in natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, storage and marketing. With principal operations in Oklahoma, the system includes about 7,900 miles of pipe, six processing plants and 23 billion cubic feet of storage capacity.

OGE Energy Corp. , headquartered in Oklahoma City, also is the parent company of OG&E Electric Services, a regulated electric utility serving approximately 762,000 customers in a service territory spanning 30,000 square miles in Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
