Hawaiian Airlines to Launch Nonstop Service Between Oakland and Honolulu
Posted on: Friday, 25 April 2008, 15:00 CDT
Hawaiian Airlines has reported that it will launch new daily nonstop service between Oakland International Airport and Honolulu, on May 1, 2008.
Hawaiian will operate the new service with B767 wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft. The airline claims that it became more important to travelers throughout the Bay Area after two carriers that provided service declared bankruptcy and shut down.
While Hawaiian Airlines already has service in San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento, the closure of Aloha and ATA left Oakland with no Hawaii service during April 2008.
